Meet the Team

Shamen Radcliffe, EdD, MA, LGSW, MA

Dr. Shamen Radcliffe (he/him) is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) with a Master’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis. In addition, Dr. Radcliffe ‬‭holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Health Education from Columbia University, and a Master of Arts (MA) in Community Development and Planning from Clark University. As a passionate and dedicated clinician who uses a client culture-centered approach that includes aspects of mindfulness, existentialism, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialect behavioral therapy (DBT), Dr. Radcliffe has extensive experience working with marginalized groups in school-based, community health, and nonprofit settings.‬

As a Black Gay therapist, Dr. Radcliffe is very passionate about working with people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. His approach to therapy is non-judgmental, and affirming, and emphasizes acceptance to set the foundation for the healing journey that he hopes to embark on with his clients. Dr. Radcliffe’s mission is to act as a guide through his clients’ healing journey and work collaboratively to overcome painful experiences and feelings in an environment where they can be unapologetic. He is very committed to working with young people and adults from diverse backgrounds who have varying issues and identities.

Dr. Radcliffe is from Rochester, NY, and has enjoyed living in Minnesota. He enjoys spending time with his partner, traveling, cooking, singing, shopping,‬‭ spending time with his family and friends, and listening to 90’s music. Dr. Radcliffe is a proud member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Incorporated (ΙΦΘ).
