Auralie Haven, MSW, LICSW
Auralie (she/her) is a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. With this background in social work, she is firmly rooted in a strengths-based perspective. Auralie likes to support people who need a space to be self-reflective, make meaning, and be seen. She believes that people have the capacity to heal themselves and sometimes just need space and support when doing so. She is warm and friendly, often using humor and a flexible approach to communication that is responsive to your needs. She knows that people who come to work with her have the capacity to heal and grow, and is happy to have a supporting role in that work. Auralie is always excited to meet people where they are at, help people to grow their capacity to cope with challenges, support people to make meaning in their lives, share information, and to learn from others.
Auralie’s theoretical orientation is humanistic. She uses a biopsychosocial model with feminist theory and incorporates neuroscience and cultural, economic, and socio-political perspectives. While she employs an eclectic approach, modalities Auralie is informed by include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and somatic practices.
Auralie loves collecting rocks, minerals, and fossils, spends her free time both outside and resting, is very curious by nature, and has a passion for finding out more about the world (the big ‘why’ and ‘how’ questions).
