Mikayla Clements, Clinical Trainer

Mikayla (she/her) is a licensed independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who received a Master's degree from Augsburg University. Prior to joining Canopy, Mikayla held roles including Assistant Executive Director and Mental Health Therapist, where she provided therapy to families and children at risk of or who have experienced abuse. She is also passionate about maternal mental health, working with the Star Legacy Foundation as a Family Support Coordinator, extending mental health support to families navigating pregnancy or infant loss.

Mikayla is deeply committed to creating a safe and affirming space for clients and providers, and Canopy's commitment to fostering such an environment deeply resonates with her. Driven by a passion for advocating for mental health, equity, and empowerment for BIPOC and marginalized communities, Mikayla seamlessly aligns with Canopy's mission. Mikayla is dedicated to facilitating growth and healing within the diverse community.

Though born in California, Mikayla has wholeheartedly adopted Minnesota as her home. Outside of work, she cherishes time spent with loved ones. Married with a daughter and two fur babies, you'll often find Mikayla indulging in her love for baking in the kitchen, enjoying a night at the theater, or hosting a game night with friends and family.
